UFCH Supports Beijing Flood Relief

Recent strong rainfall in Beijing has made various districts and counties located in the southwest area of Beijing become the heavily affected areas of this flood season, among which many places in Mentougou District have experienced internal flooding, mountain torrents, landslides and other disasters, and a large number of affected people were trapped in the flood.

United Foundation for China’s Health (UFCH) responded to the disaster relief call of Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau at the first time and got in touch with Mentougou Donation Center and Mentougou Children’s Welfare Home, urgently purchased disaster relief supplies such as drinking water, fast food, and disinfection supplies. It is planned to deliver the first batch of materials to Mentougou Tanzhe Temple Town People’s Government tomorrow (August 3), and then the government staff will distribute them to each affected street towns and welfare institutions.

Meanwhile,  under the guidance of Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau, UFCH coordinate with other charity institutions to continuously pay attention to the rescue and reconstruction work in the affected areas of Beijing. The subsequent rescue actions will focus on the medical needs of the people and rescuers in the affected areas of the city. UFCH will coordinate with United Family Healthcare to provide medical assistance to the disaster area in a timely manner.

Here, we pay tribute to the heroes on the front line of flood-fighting and emergency rescue! Wish everyone safe!
