UFCH Provide Charity Health Checkup for Tianjin Welfare Home
Bright classrooms, colorful decorations, and neatly placed mouthwash cups… the children’s play room were full of vigor, joy, and order. The most beautiful scenery in the room is the decoration from children’s handicrafts. In order to have the charity health check, the room has set up as 4 ‘mini-clinics’.
On March 5, at the invitation of Hao De Foundation, United Foundation for China’s Health (UFCH) invited Dr. Gong Yong, Dr. Zhang Jing, Dr. Liu Yan and Dr. Mao Yuqi from United Family Healthcare to visit Tianjin Welfare Home. The GM of Tianjin United Family Hospital, Mr. Liu Zhizhong also went to visit and find their needs for better support in the future.
At our arrival, when we passing by the music room, the children were playing the tambourine, they warmly waving their hands to welcome our doctors and voulunteers with big smiles. When the children holding each other’s little hands, walked into the exam room, we were cured by them before we started to check their health.
Most of the children we saw this time were suffering from congenital diseases, base on their medical history, the doctors provided physical examinations and gave further treatment plans. During the examination, the children were polite, happy and confident, we saw their smiles from the bottom of their hearts. These made an efficient process which helped us to finish the examinations in one day.
At end of the visit, UFCH volunteers shared the examination findings with the welfare home leaders and teachers. The welfare home leaders expressed their appreciation to UFCH and looking forward to work together in the future. UFCH will follow up with the children’s medical tests and treatment plans. We hope that we can make a difference in these children’s life through our charity medical program.
