UFCH Provide HPV Cervical Cancer Screen and Treat for Migrant Female Workers in Beijing
With support from Beijing Social welfare affairs Management Center and United Family Women’s & Children’s Hospital, United Foundation for China’s Health (UFCH) organized medical volunteers from United Family Healthcare and volunteers from walks of life to provide free HPV/Cervical Cancer screening and treatment for nearly 300 female staff from the welfare institutions, funeral institutions and welfare enterprises affiliated to the Center.
Helping disadvantaged groups (including but not limited to poverty children, orphans, disabled, elderly, etc.) is one of the main works of municipal social welfare agencies, and most of the staff are female. Also, this is the first time in their lives for most of them to do HPV screening.
The volunteers from all walks of life were responsible for guiding women, their enthusiasm makes everyone feel warm. With their help, the screening process was smooth and orderly.
Understanding HPV currently is the key to the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer, UFCH team and medical team are fully prepared for the HPV education every time. In the process of registration, training, and medical consultation, women can receive HPV education in different ways.
We hope more people can have a better understanding of HPV, and more female migrant workers could have an opportunity to care for their health through our program.
