UFCH and Our Blue Sky Jointly Provide the “Refill Benefit” of Prescription Drugs for Chronic Disease Patients in Shanghai During the Covid
We’ve all been watching the difficult times that Covid has brought to Shanghai and wondered what little thing can we do to help. Knowing that during such times, access to medical care for vulnerable people will be an even greater challenge, UFCH partnered with Our Clear Skies to contribute what we can.
Volunteers work overtime to serve UFCH patients
Each package is labeled with an address and a warm tip for accurate delivery to the Foundation’s patients
We realized that many people affected by the lockdown have almost used up all their medications or have already gone without for some time. This is an especially difficult time for elderly people who often suffer from chronic medical conditions. So UFCH pulled together its medical resources and Our Clear Skies pulled together their network of volunteers to create a program where the prescriptions are refilled and then hand-delivered to the elderly by a community volunteer.
Thank you volunteers in charge of drug distribution
Delivering medicine kits on time to the doorstep of each community, divided by area Pudong and Puxi
Sponsored by UFCH’s Charity Medical Program, the patients will not incur any costs for the prescription medication refills. And with Our Clear Skies network of caring individuals, the “last mile” gap is closed. It is inspiring to see how the community has come together to help!
Shanghai, hang in there!
